Excerpts from an interview with Mike Macfarlane Mike: Mike is a Utah native (and proud of it). He and his wife, Julie, have been married for 11 years and have three children, Serena, Aidan, and Sean. Julie is a Web developer and currently a stay-at-home mom. Mike loves the outdoors and enjoys getting to know people on a personal level. What do you do with your free time? Golf (I'm terrible), moutain bike, read (my wife says I'm always reading) and spend time with my family. What is your favorite vacation spot? Kauai, Hawaii Favorite Restaurant? Chef's Table in Orem, Utah When did you start your first business? Does a paper route count? If so, the 5th grade. What is your pet peeve? Messes drive me nuts. Adjusting to three kids has been a trial since they have yet to share my fetish. What would you want on your tombstone? Born 1972, died 2572 in a Mt. Everest climbing accident. What was your worst job? Being a driller's helper on a drill rig in January. The Great Salt Lake is a very COLD place to drill in January. What's your money management style? Is anal retentive a style? What scares your? Monsters Mike served for 8 years in the Army National Guard as Ammunition Team Chief with the 1/145th field artillery unit, including a one year activation for Operation Noble Eagle. Mike enjoy's Mountain Biking, Snowboarding, Slot Canyons, Photography, Reading, and spending time with his family.
